THE INNISFREE POETRY JOURNAL

Simki Ghebremichael

SNOW IS DROWNING THE DAFFODILS

Neck deep
In a white, suffocate sea

yolk yellow heads
are shaking and gasping

flailing hallelujah arms
that plead life

from gray,
last judgment air.
