Metamorphosis

At the conference table,
unable to compete,
articulate an argument,
rebuttal or debate,
I head for the nearest exit.

Out in the garden,
I open my mouth,
Launch a gelatinous tongue,
and gracefully suck a mayfly
out of midair.
